About Jack Frank

Jack Frank is known for his unusual TV shows.
Jack Frank

His somewhat off-beat documentaries celebrate the history and charms of Tulsa. Audiences have learned to recognize his friendly narrative style and the unusual topics that he obviously loves. Jack began producing short stories about Tulsa and Oklahoma history in the early 1990s, when he was Station Manager of OETA/Tulsa. His programs gained such popularity that Jack formed his own video company to produce documentaries on Tulsa and Oklahoma, comprised mostly of rare archival motion pictures that he has collected through the years. In 2000, a Tulsa World sportswriter observed that Jack's segments on TV "may be the most consistently interesting segment on Tulsa television news".

Some of Jack's shows, Let's Downtown, Tulsa Art Deco, and Tulsa's Uncommon Houses, were nominated for regional EMMY awards.

In addition to his historical documentaries, Jack's company also does video production for local corporations and charities.
