Take a memorable trip into downtown Tulsa. See old films from the days when shoppers went to Froug’s, Vandever’s, Brown Dunkin & Cinderella Shoes. Tour the Philtower, Philcade, and other beautiful structures on Boston Avenue. We’ll also stop inside the Mayo Hotel (before renovation) and remember the 1949 parade through downtown for the movie “Tulsa”. This show is a tribute to the treasures and architecture that make downtown so sensational.

Remember having shrimp and black bottom pie at Pennington’s. Remember when the Tulsa Roughnecks were a powerhouse in major league soccer at Skelly Stadium? Many cool things have come and gone from Tulsa. From downtown Central High School, to Pennington’s Drive-In, to small airports around the city. This show lets us reminisce about all the good things that have vanished. Includes:

TULSA'S UNCOMMON HOUSES (approx. 1 hour)
Snooping around other people’s houses can be fun. This show does a little of that, and a lot of exploring some of Tulsa’s historic residences. We’ll stop by the old Tulsa incinerator which is now a home. We’ll check out the Frank Lloyd Wright house in midtown, and the former bunker home of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty (since torn torn). We will also visit the Skelly Mansion on 21st street, and step into the Tulsa Garden Center which used to be a lavish mansion.
